I traveled to Haiti to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of MPP (Papaye Peasant Movement), an organization of peasants promoting the rural culture and economy of Haiti. At the end of a week long celebration, thousands of people came from across the country to march for peasant advocacy and the rights of the people. The energy and sheer size of the crowd blew me away and moved me.
Thanks to the wonderful Wendy Flick and UUSC for making this happen, as well as the communications staff of MPP for putting up with me.
Check out all of their amazing work!
