Synopsis
ARENA is a personal journey into the world of bullfighting. Tracing the difficult struggle of a group of young apprentices, we enter their complex and archaic realm, filled with joy and sadness, color, shadow, reflection and metaphor. Travelling with them to several countries, ARENA also reminds us of the international nature of this singular Western cultural phenomenon.

ARENA es un viaje personal al mundo de la tauromaquia. Siguiendo la dura lucha de unos jóvenes novilleros nos adentramos en su mundo complejo y arcaico lleno de alegrías y tristezas, de colores, sombras, reflexiones y metáforas. Viajando con ellos, ARENA nos recuerda también la internacionalidad de este singular fenómeno cultural occidental.

Synopsis
ARENA ist eine sehr persönliche Reise in die Welt des Stierkampfs. Indem wir junge Stierkämpfer auf ihrem schwierigen Weg begleiten, betreten wir ihre komplexe und archaische Welt, voller Freude und Traurigkeit, voller Farben, Schatten, Reflexionen und Metaphern und werden durch die Schauplätze in mehreren Ländern auch an die Internationalität dieses singulären okzidentalen Kulturphänomens erinnert.
