About Hardbakka:
http://hardbakkaruins.tumblr.com/
THE SITE:
Located in the restricted drinking water cachement of Bergen.
This one week workshop/exhibition is a site-specific art experiment featuring the ruins area of Hardbakka that places by the side of Svartediket Bergen. We invite several artists doing on different activities; installation, performance, sound, photograph, film and so on..We will have five days project working and final short exhibition at the weekend.
CAUTION provided for artists:
When it comes to the type and impact our art interventions can have at the site we have stated the principle of
"sporløs ferdsel" that means something like: activity that do not leave any traces, or leave any signs of human activity.
That means that as a basic rule we have to leave the place unaltered when we finish. I hope to come in a position of negotiatingwith Grønn Etat over some specific interventions that may be suggested by the participants but it is best tobe specific and wait and see which ideas that comes up.
Some of you may have noticed the the geometric organised concrete blocks ( page 15 in "nye bilder") spread along the road. It is nothing more than remains of German buildings and depots from WWII. I doubth their heritage value since they are not shown on the historical maps. But you now have the opportunity to point at their value as traces of history and reinterpret them as artefacts.
