Short excerpt from film I'm making about the renaissance of the Dunfermline Alhambra from a Bingo hall to a major venue in the Scottish gig scene.
The bar made a good interview location but a fridge behind the bar made an unholy racket. I used a cheap but good Hama stereo tie pin mic but you'll still hear a little bit of the noise.
My link with the venue is I have worked in the building next door for a very long time. For most of that time it was a Bingo hall and when that relocated to an out of town development the future of the Alhambra was anything but certain. Luckily Bill Fletcher took over and the theatre returned to the purpose for which it was originally built. The Alhambra is now fast gaining a reputation as 'the' gig in Fife and - with a capacity of 2,000 - is attracting bands that were too big for other nearby venues.

My one tip - use headphones because the intrusive fridge noise was not that obvious to the 'naked ear'.
