Commuting on a daily basis in New Orleans helps to keep me in shape for chasing Triathletes around their training grounds on weekends. Here is a little sample of how it's done on a short stretch of Esplanade Avenue where the speed limit is 30 mph and the road pinches down to one lane. It is much safer to keep up with traffic than to let them try to squeeze me into the door zone of the parallel parked cars.
Usually 25 mph is enough but today 30 mph was just barely adequate.
