Part one of a two-part historical documentary chronicling how, after 41 years of playing NBA basketball in Seattle, the Sonics were moved to Oklahoma and became the Thunder. Features original HD interviews including Gary Payton, George Karl, Slade Gorton, Brad Keller, Wally Walker, Brian Robinson, Kevin Calabro and many more. This film is being distributed for free online by the Seattle SuperSonics Historical Preservation Society.

Music was provided for the film by Seattle-area hip-hop artists such as Lil Kriz, Jake One, Grayskul, Blue Scholars, Common Market and more.

    What a nightmare for Sonics fans. This would have torn my heart out. Clay Bennett is something else to come in and lie to everyone like that.

    The video is incredible, great interviews, great music, great everything. I'll do my part to share this with the world.

    While not a Sonics fan I am nevertheless a die-hard Lakers fan, NBA lifer and a traditionalist as well. I am still fuming that Seattle lost its team through a whole gaggle of blunders by pretty much everyone involved. Hopefully the day won't be long until the NBA returns to Seattle; you don't just throw 40 years of tradition in a U-haul van and move to OKC. Good luck and keep on fighting guys.

    The Sonics were my first professional sports love. Growing up and watching GP and The Rain Man are memories that I will never forget.
