Video: The method I employed was using programs I wrote in Visual Basic 5.0. Specifically I used the "PaintPicture Method" using various "Raster Op" constants in different combinations and sequences. In these programs, the still photos were juxtaposed and combined from images exported from a screen video (using Debut Video Capture Software available from NCH software) taken of the MIDI playing in the "Synthesia" (free version). The free and non-free versions of Synthesia are available at
Lastly, the resultant images saved from the Visual Basic programs were reconstituted into the final video using Virtual Dub 1.9.11.
