    is it easy for you to try changing the width of the 'paper' inside the box (i know you used plastic) so that it is less curved, increasing the 'focussed' area horizontally?

    Yep! I'm going to cut a few different lengths of plastic to use, for different effects (Focus effects). I'll post something as soon as I get it done and have the time.

    I made mine and I feel in awe of how the plastic and HD makes yours looks. I took a few stills with mine as well and it turned out alright but not as clear as this.
    I have found Magic bullets effects are easier post. it just takes some pre planning to frame shots. BUT it isn't the same experience as getting it all at once and seeing the almost instant result of that beautiful warm fuzziness

    Thanks man! I haven't shot one with my HV20 yet. This one was with my Panasonic DVC30. These shoebox things are crazy to use. It can be real FREAKIN' fun! I can't wait to get some footage with the HV.
