On 7 June, the British High Commission and British Council held an event showcasing GREAT British innovation, design and technology.
The innovation based forum at the ArtScience Musuem saw keynote presentations and panel discussions with speakers from the UK, Singapore and Indonesia. Lord Green (UK Minister of State for Trade & Investment) and Teo Ser Luck (Minister of State for Trade & Industry in Singapore) opened the event which provided an excellent platform for the Technology Strategy Board and UK companies to engage with counterparts from the region.
Other keynote speakers included Saeed Zahedi (a leading designer of prosthetics from Blatchford, winner of the Queen’s Award for Innovation in 2010) and Paul Priestman (Founding Director of Design Consultancy Priestmangoode and one of Evening Standard’s 1000 Most Influential People of 2012).
Please continue to contribute your thoughts about innovation in the UK and Southeast Asia by using the hashtag #InnovateUKSEA on Twitter.
