Rosie Motene is an award winning actor, TV and film producer, talent manager and activist.
The key note speaker at the Inspiring women's network during youth month in South Africa.
Rosie speaks on her experiences of growing up in a White Jewsih family during the apartheid era. She highlights the identity crisis she had growing up, hating being Black; her conversion to Judaism and how she has merged her African and Jewsih identity. She also looks at how she overcame an abusive relationship and has used that experience to educate other son abuse.
Rosie is the Vice-chair of POWA (people opposing women abuse), The tomorrow trust and is a an activist for Vday, started by Eve Ensler, the author of The Vagina Monologues.
