Since I got quite a few views from all over the world it might be time for a little Update.

I shot this piece in May 2013. It was quite early in the morning, the fog was quite strong which did not make me very happy at the time. But it turned out quite cool. It is amazing how many Chinese People are up and work out at 06:30h in the morning. Some exercise look a little funny for us from the west. But it makes kinda sense. Quite a few people are walking backwards. A Chinese told me, they are doing it to balance their usual muscle movement, since usual they are walking forwards.
Some other people are just looking up (or flying kites) since they are looking on a screen all day. It is all about balance.

Near my Hotel was a little street with little shops and a market street. So I shot the market stuff there. In the same street, the mobile kitchens start cooking around 1100h 1130h at night. Very good food, very very affordable and a great place to get in touch with the locals.
I had some wonderful conversations otherwise I would have shot some more footage but it was very worth it.

I used my BMCC (ProRes) on a Monopod. I had a 14mm Walimex, a 35mm 1.4 Walimex, a 24-70 2.8 Tamron and the 24-105 4.0 Canon lens with me. I believe, I shot the nightstuff completly on the 35mm.

Enjoy...
