Mandelbulb3D Animation - 2013.07.20
An animation created today exploring the fractal I posted yesterday. This is a low-resolution (640x360 @ 16:9 aspect ratio) render. About 2250 frames. Took about 6 and half hours to generate. It is my best zoom-in/zoom-out exploration so far!
When I post a single frame image of one of these 3-dimensional Mandelbulb fractals I don't think people really understand the depth of the dataspace. These mindal-mathematical spaces are very deep and very complex compared to the "paisley" two-dimensional fractals of the 1980's and 90's.
Fractals, 2- or 3-dimensional, are simple mathematical representations of nature's fundamental patterns. Patterns nearly familiar to all.
