Goal setting and motivation often go hand in hand, but they really 2 completely different things.
Entrepreneur.com defines goal setting as: Establishing short- or long-term objectives, usually incorporating deadlines and quantifiable measures.
Motivation can be defined as: The general desire or willingness of someone to do something.
When you get up in the morning you may or may not be motivated to do something. You don't have to have specific goals in mind to be motivated to accomplish something.
However, let's consider this from a home business standpoint. You're not going to have a boss telling you what to do so your motivation must come from within.
How do you get that motivation?
One of the best ways to do this is to set goals, write them down, and read them every day. It's a proven fact that people have a better chance of accomplishing their goals when they are written down and read on a daily basis.
If it's a goal you really believe in you will be motivated to do it because your subconscious mind is internalizing your goals and helping you act upon them.
If you're not motivated to accomplish something maybe goal setting will help. The key thing is to set meaningful goals and work towards acheiving them. You will be surprised at how much more motivated you are.
