This has already been called one of THE most powerful moments in Catalyst history; there wasn't a dry eye in the arena after Jimmy Wambua met Mark, his Compassion Sponsor of 19 years, for the 1st time. It was an unbelievable moment...Jimmy begins to share at minute 3:45.

Will you sponsor a child through Compassion International?

I was able to meet my sponsor child in Kenya this past summer with the help of 410 Bridge (Lanny Donoho) and Compassion International (Keith Bordeaux). Meeting Raphael was one of the best moments in my life. Sponsoring a child is the real deal and this video proves it. Its not an obligation, its a life change for you and your child forever.

Thankfully I got to be at Catalyst for this session. WOW! I believe it was the best moment in Catalyst history and I have been to nine of the ten Catalyst events.

It's amazing how God gives us the honor of participating in HIS GREAT LOVE! We invited a young couple who had just immigrated to the U.S. from Kenya to live with us until they could rent an appartment. WE were the blessed ones! They are family!

I am a sponsor of children through Compassion International. Meeting them personally truly changed my life. This is a wonderful ministry both for the sponsored children, and the sponsors.

a great moment for a create cause - but Catalyst exploited that moment at Jimmy's expense. The honorable thing to do would have been to make that moment happen for Jimmy and Mark in a private manner and then allow them to speak about that encounter.

-this was an emotional manipulation on Catalyst's part. I find that regretful.

I agree somewhat that this moment between Jimmy and Mark would have been better spent in a more private setting, but it was also a great opportunity for thousands of people to experience the same emotion from an onlooker's perspective (including myself). I think Jimmy would agree that sharing that moment publicly was more than worth the amount of new sponsors gained because of it.
