This Unity Application is the result of my semester project called "Artefacts".
The goal was to choose something old and mechanical that nearly fits into the real size of a computer screen. (eg grinder, sharpener, clock etc) And at the end there should be an interactive application.
I tried to find something that would be fun and would motivate me the whole semester. Finally I chose an old medieval crossbow with a pull leaver.
I did the whole modeling and animation work in 3ds Max. The textures were painted in Mari and the normal maps were baked in Knald.
The whole Unity Scene (trees, table, farns, apples) created by myself. Only a few elements like grass, sky were taken from the Standard Assets.
The majority of the scripts coded by myself too. This was my first real contact in C# and sometimes I had a lot of "fun" with it ;)
Short Description of the Crossbow Aplication:
The user has the opportunity to interact with an old medieval crossbow. The user can pull the crossbow with a pull leaver and after he put a quarrel in he can shoot at anything eg the straw doll, the apple on its head or maybe the big red apple on the left side.
The user can also get some informations in the information menu, where he can click on different parts of the crossbow and get the description and function of each part.
