65. Fenway Flavor - Letus Ultimate Footage
2 months ago
tomguilmette.com

This is a sample of the work I have shot for broadcast television this fall at Fenway Park with the Boston Red Sox. This footage was used for playoff promos but as many of you know, the Sox are out! :-(

This was shot at 1080 30p with a Sony PMW-EX1 and a Letus Ultimate 35mm lens adapter. I used all Nikon prime lenses (mostly a 55mm f1.2). The dolly moves where created on a PVC skateboard dolly and I used a Vinten Vision 10 AS tripod.

Wow, beautifully shot. Great image and colours are just impressive.
With all the 7D and 5D movies, I really missed the good old Letus :)

i agree with ZhiC. we have loots of 5d/7d movies lately. but in my opinion ex1+letus looks much much better in this condition.

Great piece - loved the live audio fade in over the music. It was like a visual and audio crescendo as the atmosphere built. Nice.

    Very nice colors, Tom.
I really wonder why there's no stutter, did you conform your 30P sequences to 24P, especially for Vimeo ?
I have lots of trouble with 30P from my 5D mkII, when I upload to Vimeo.

Really great people footage, Tom. Wish I could download it, but even viewing online shows off the high quality of your work!

This is awesome! How did you set up your picture profile? Any color correction in post? Do you notice any loss in image quality between the ex1 with letus vs without letus?

  • Beautiful!

great stuff Tom. Wish they would give us the time to do quality at our station. We are usually sent down there just in time for the pre-game locker heads and the Teeto presser then off to the live shots!
