President Obama's opening act - Tracy Chapman
2 months ago
President Obama came to San Francisco on October 15, 2009. It was a rather intimate (by politico standards) event ... I hazarded a guess at about 400-500 people.
Before he took to the stage (introduced by Nancy Pelosi), local Grammy award-winner Tracy Chapman wowed the crowd.
This song, which she wrote when she was 16 years old living in Ohio, is the perfect theme for the change Obama has brought to this nation. Okay, so he has work left to do - lots of it - but what he started, or better to say, reinstated, in many (myself included) is the hope we CAN make a difference.
