The highlight of St. Austell Feast Week 2013 took place on Saturday 6th July, when the cast of the community play, As Well Be Shot As Be Starved, took to the streets to recreate the bread riots of 1847. Their march culminated at the Market House, where local school children joined in to perform a dramatic piece of street theatre than enthralled the crowds.
Additional entertainment was provided by Swamp Circus, and music by The Butter Thieves.
All music in this piece was kindly provided by Ben Sutcliffe of The People's String Foundation.
