It was a day of action in Madison, Wisconsin, for the Wisconsin Books to Prisoners campaign, calling attention to the unfair practice wherein the Wisconsin Department of Corrections refuses to allow prisoners to receive used books. Jesse Graves, the artist who first perfected the technique, and Nicolas Lampert, the activist graphic artist and historian, offer a few remarks on the origins technique and its use in this instance and in the Tamms Year Ten campaign.
