On January 14,1973, Elvis Presley - the king of rock and roll - performed to a sold out audience at the Honolulu International Center. It was the first concert by a solo artist to be broadcast live via satellite to an international audience.

Forty years later, PBS Hawaii viewers can relive that historic night with Elvis, Aloha from Hawaii. The 90-minute concert special airs Sunday, August 11 at 7:00 pm. President and CEO Leslie Wilcox and legendary concert promoter Tom Moffatt will co-host this fundraising event for PBS Hawaii programming. UH Manoa sorority Beta Beta Gamma will volunteer on the phone bank, while sporting the era's fashion.
