In the early 1840s, this rich, fertile valley was selected as the ideal settlement. The secret of the valley's soil were soon discovered by the nineteenth century winemakers and for generations since, it has produced some of the finest wines in the world.

In recent times however, the winemakers' secret has been shared with many other passionate artisans.

Cheese wrights, dairymen, bakers, orchardists, smallgoods manufacturers, butchers and chefs from rich and diverse backgrounds have descended on the valley in recent years.
And all of these artisans owe their success to the very soil from which their crops and livestock originate.

This is a tale of artists and their passion -- the flavours of Barossa.
