Styrofoam - Forever, You Said Forever
Explosions in the Sky - Time Stops

I took a trip out to Hawaii in the midst of being quasi-homeless. There I met with my filmmaker friend Mike - it was a pretty fun trip. We climbed up a bunch of mountains, and I filmed a commercial for an upcoming flash game.

The little kitten in this video, Patches, is frickin' CUTE.

The skyline shots were made possible because Mike's dad had some connections at the military base, and we got to climb up to the top of this huge crater-type thing. Usually they shoot people for going up there, but like I said ... we had connections. We watched the sun set and it was simply beautiful. I came back into San Diego, drove up to San Fran and then flew out to Orlando to stay for a month.

You play extremely well with light. I am always in awe.

And I nearly about died when Patches yawned near the end of the clip.

Justin: great work there! congratulations... one of the best videos I've seen in this site... it made me remeber a cuban film called "Suite Habana" directed by Fernando Perez. Have u watched it, by the way?... if not, try to get it... it's really good.... anyhow... it definetelly shows you have talent on capturing significance on aparentelly insignificant-moments.

I'll definately put that on my list of movies to see! Thanks. I found a lot of the older cinema verite stuff especially interesting as well.

you lead a pretty eventful life for a semi- homeless person.

For that period of my life, my strategy was to spend the money that I'd normally be spending on rent somewhere to buy a plane ticket to somewhere new and just stay with friends for free! Worked out pretty well.
