One day, I will be as good as you. Or even better. You will be remembered as the one who showed the path to others. You proved that the industry is going through a -heavy- paradigm shift, and that everything changed.

Pour ça, j'aimerais vous dire merci, merci beaucoup. Comme votre confrère James Nachtwey, vous avez une place toute particulière dans mon coeur.

nice stuff. what frame rate is this running at?
  • Nelson Herbert 1 month ago
30fps. It was the massive hook video shot using a pre-release 5D MkII over 24hrs. stunning.

thanks for the reply. was curious since we're toying with a 5d MkII ourselves.

look forward to seeing more of your stunning work. cheers !

I've loved this video since it came out... still going back to it to watch over and over again. It gave chills down my spine the first time I saw it, and sometimes still does! Too bad the servers hosting it originally were a bit overwhelmed! Hope vimeo can keep up with your success... looking forward to Nocturne - vimeo.com/7152063

Stunning images for a DSLR, but a fairly dreadful film if considered outside the narrow canon of the 5DM2 world.

Vincent, the moment I saw this video on the Canon site when it was released I literally dropped my HF100 -- as well as my jaws.

Considering it didn't have manual controls and your background was more of a photographer, all the more kudos to you.

Hopefully Canon won't mess up with you again like it did recently with Nocturne, if you continue these shorts.
