Publicis Kaplan Thaler entrusted ALT TERRAIN to plan, produce and manage Citibank's bike share program launch event in Union Square, New York City - the largest bicycle share program in the world.
The outdoor experiential marketing event focused on 'ride and learn' activities including enclosed riding track, bike safety instructors, riding track obstacles, helmet giveaways, account sign-ups, plus hands-on instructions on how to unlock/lock bikes from stations.
Additional activities includes Step & Repeat stages, ice cream and hot dog giveaways for consumers that downloaded the Citibike app, stage and tenting, DJ spinning a playlist of NYC-based music, and appearances from the one and only Mr Met!
ALT TERRAIN handled planning, permitting, event element (e.g. tents, stage, double-sided Step & Repeats, barricades, ground graphics, etc.) production, staffing, transport, installation, management and uninstallation.
