The draw bridge - actually it's a swing bridge - was just opening when I arrived at Sicamous. Now it was a question how long it would take for all the houseboats to make it through the gap. There's always one in every crowd! Whoever was in charge of the largest houseboat didn't have a clue i.e. needed to call for a pilot to get through the gap. More delay for that.
Half an hour later rail traffic could resume.
Blasting through Greeley they must have run in Notch8 - at least that;s what it looked and sounded like.
The big surprise was the realization that both Eastbound and Westbound trains were using Connaught tunnel, usually the Westbound traffic uses the Macdonald tunnel with the easier grade.
