We had the pleasure of staying at Ghoha Hills Savuti game lodge, Botswana, Africa where our Guide, Joe chose to share with us his traditional knowledge of fire making. Joe is a Bushman. His Bushman name is Gwaa. I was humbled by this experience. I experienced an emotional resonance with this moment recognising that fire making was a significant skill which propelled the human race into the world we have today. We have since lost this knowledge and this skill, however, the Bushman retain it.
This moment was filmed on a Canon 60D with Tokina 11-16mm f2.8 lens and the audio was captured by Rode Stereo Video Mic Pro. The Canon has the Magic Lantern hack. Edited on Prem Pro CS6 with Magic Bullet Looks
