The second of two interventions developed by Stanza, The Singing Trees of Tremough collected and translated environmental data from the Penryn Campus. Ad-hoc networks of sensors picked up measurements of light, temperature, noise, humidity and GPS location, which were channelled in real time through custom-built software creating a sonic representation of the surrounding space.

Confluence is an exciting public programme of site-specific art that reflects the diverse range of academic disciplines offered by the University of Exeter and Falmouth University at the Penryn Campus (formerly known as the Tremough Campus), near Falmouth, Cornwall, UK.

Curated by Falmouth University MA Curatorial Practice graduate, Phil Rushworth, Confluence 2013 explores the relationship between art, technology and the environment around us.
