Recorded live with 6 Sony EX1s and a 24 track recorder, we shot this in what remains of the old Coleman Co. factory in Wichita, KS. It's part of our music series WICHITA SESSIONS. Check out the band at myspace.com/spiritofthestairsmusic. You can see more featured artists from WICHITA SESSIONS on our Vimeo channel at vimeo.com/channels/wichitasessions

I guess it wasn't that funny. :)

These guys are really good. I love the dueling drums. Keep an eye out on here on Vimeo. I should be adding another track from this shoot in the next week. You'll be able to find it on our WICHITA SESSIONS channel vimeo.com/channels/wichitasessions
You should be able to find the Spirit of the Stairs online at places like iTunes and CD Baby and Amazon.
Right now these guys are not playing too far outside of Kansas, but they should be!

Oh yeah, and of course, looks awesome, I like the powerful light in the middle. What did you use for that?
The light is 3 large daylight balanced compact fluorescent bulbs that we propped up with sand bags.
And this song is great, does it have a name?
The name of the band is "The Sons of Neil Diamond" and the song is actually a condensed instrumental medley of the complete works of Robert Matthew Van Winkle.
Hope that answers your questions. If you you'd like to learn more you can check out this short music clip on another video sharing site. youtube.com/watch?v=kNzeUCsrL_s
Attack the wak, Brother. Knowledge is power!
For the Center light we used 3 extra large daylight balanced compact fluorescent bulbs. We used RGB LED stage lights on a DMX controller for the walls and backlights.
It's been a few months, but if i recall correctly, I exported this clip at 8000 Kb/second h.264 at 1080p. Considering it's 6 minutes and 380MB, those numbers seem to jive.
I've got these two clips set for 1080p
