Friendship is a difficult subject. We all want friends, but some times they are more trouble than they are worth. For young people friendship is probably too important, for adults we often underestimate the power of friendship, but Jesus had a very unique conception of friendship, one that doesn't fit the teenage friend-centric model nor the rugged individualism of the American adult. This Sunday at Storyline's Gathering Jill McNabnay will look at the history of friendship, its place in American life and how Jesus offered another way of bringing people together into real community.
