I saw Carleton Torpin's chapter #10, and decided to give this long exposure animation a try. I decided not to flash on the subject at the end, because I wanted to give it a more cartoonish feel. I actually made the animation loop 3 times. Hope you guys like it.

Well I don't know about making a tutorial, but I was actually inspired to make this by a "tutorial" of sorts that I found on vimeo from Carlton Torpin's film making channel: vimeo.com/Filmmaking. Its in the chapter #10 video, like the last half of the video.

Yeah this was something I'd been wanting to do for a long time as well. That's why I love vimeo so much, because seeing Carleton's video not only gave me some more background knowledge on how to do it, but it also inspired me to finally try it.

You should definitely do one. If you have any questions about how I did mine, I'll be happy to answer them.

its basically a stop motion animation, only i created each frame by taking long exposures (i forget, i think 13 seconds), and dragging a flashlight around in front of the camera in a completely dark basement.
