Yea, beautiful indeed! So curious to hear about your process. Animated displacement maps? Just a guess...
  • More Soon 2 years ago
Yeah pretty much.. it's a really long video made in After Effects layered over a series of displacements.

This is quite hypnotic :) How much of it is procedural? Did you create the displacement maps and transitions by hand, or is there some code involved?

You already got a lot of good comments, but I have to say that the movie is really amazing. I'm studying motion design and sometimes I just wonder if people still make original motion graphics. Luckily I begin to see more and more stuff that is out of the cliche motion graphic thing; growing things, lines and ornaments. Thank you very much for sharing this great video!

    You're creating new textures here!
Although I should use less vivid colors, the composition of image and sound is surprising to me!

Very very cool. Looks like I am going to have to do some serious experiments with displacement maps now.

NICE, not boring, kept my attention with great keying!

Is it all AfterEffects? or is there some processing going on?

Amazing! I would really love to see the video(s) used for displacement maps. Does the video/displacement causes the 'slide on the object' effect or is it something you've done? Have you used a single object with multiple materials or have you got lots of objects? Questions, questions...

This is so awesome!!! What did you use, some kind of algorithm with 3D software?
