On October 21 2009, VITA programs around the country highlighted the impact of community VITA; built relationships with legislators; and advocated for NCTC policy priorities, including: funding for community VITA, regulation of paid-preparers, safe financial products for all consumers and savings opportunities for low-wage workers. 80 people attended this policy briefing in Washington, DC while many others took action in their local districts.
