'How surgeons learn to operate' is an impact case study commissioned by the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC). This film explores the research of the MODE project and their detailed transcription of video recordings of surgical operations to analyse the interaction between the surgeons and their trainees. We filmed this at a public event at the Dana Centre (Science Museum) where a live reconstruction of a surgical operation was enacted.
