During the summer of 2013 I visited four countries & nearly half a dozen cities in Western Europe.
A couple months before my trip I had received a Radian timelapse device (radian.alpinelaboratories.com), and had been playing around with it a little in New York City. I decided to take it with me on my travels, my goal being to take at least one timelapse in every city I stayed in.
Because I like to travel rather light, I didn't bring along a tripod. Hence, I was forced to get creative where I could place my camera; ledges, railings, sidewalks, utility boxes, and all manner of garbage bins proved invaluable in capturing my images. Many of these makeshift shooting surfaces made for some surprising views that I might never have considered.
Many thanks to my travel companions who had to endure my random & incessant detours to find the perfect perch for this or that timelapse; and for waiting around for the hour or so that it took to shoot each one.
