Held Wednesday, October 14 at 7:30 p.m. in Albrecht Auditorium. The guest speaker Jamie Merisotis is President of the Lumina Foundation For Education.
Merisotis addressed the important reasons why the national debate over college completion represents a watershed moment for higher education in the United States. (President Obama's goal is to increase the nation’s level of high-quality degrees and credentials to 60%.) The title of the lecture is, "It's the Learning, Stupid."
The Bowen Lecture Series is sponsored by the Bowen Institute for Policy Studies in Higher Education, which facilitates academic activity in the area of public studies, understood broadly to span both public policy and system/institutional policy in higher education. The Institute also supports conference attendance and research opportunities for students in higher education.
