See all Show me
My daughter had a friend in town so we showed him the sights...

Took my Canon XHA1/Letus Extreme 35mm adapter/Bogen 562b monopod along for the ride.

Excellent work!!! You always capture great images. A few quick question, what presets did you use for this? Vivd? Is there one that can replicate as close as possible your 35mm adpater footage?

I find myself yearning to hear what all those baskers were singing / playing actually. Was hoping you'd leak some original footage audio behind the Howie Day's on those scenes. But still, you kept me wanting. Thus you've succeeded!! How do you carry around the cam with Letus attached? You seem to have it on on every video. I would too! But isn't it prone to be handheld in busy public?
  • Steven Dempsey 5 months ago
The Letus, when attached to the camera is quite easy to tote around. The added weight adds stability to the shots. I just basically cradle the camera in one hand and have the other on the focus ring. I also use my Bogen monopod which gives my arm a rest.

The audio is really distorted because these guys were really loud compared to what I had set the audio levels..so you are not missing anything...you can just barely make out the song through the distortion.

uh-oh, a daughter with a visiting male friend....you'll have to tell me how that goes; I have a daughter myself and the next thing you know......I'm showing her visiting friend the sights-

Great video!! What were your settings? 24f or 30f. I just picked up the xh-a1 and I am still learning the depth and power of this camera. The colors in the video were beautiful, was that the camera or done in post?

Nice! loved the Pike's Market footage. Owns mine. the Monopod looks great!

and I'm pretty sure that guy with the possum, stores his possum in a burlap sack. Thats atleast what he did last time I saw him.

I was wondering whether your 562b monopod will squeak one in a while while moving it around since mine squeaks a lot!

I love your videos! I love Seattle. My wife and our two-year old son were there three months ago. Went to all the sightseeing places and Kurt Cobain's old home. :-)

With all that weight and no rail system, how does the connection between the adapter and the camera feel? Is it solid?
  • Steven Dempsey 23 days ago
I have occasionally gone without a rail system while using the Extreme but I really do not recommend it at all. In fact, I no longer use it without rails...
