On Saturday 24 October 2009, the Darebin community got together as part of the 350.org International Day of Climate Action to send a clear messsage to the Australian Government about the importance of the 350ppm carbon dioxide target, and to urge strong action at the international climate talks in Copenhagen this December.

Darebin Parklands is in the Batman electorate of Australian energy and resources minister, Martin Ferguson, a big supporter of the fossil fuels that are driving dangerous climate change.
