Todos Santos, in Baja California Sur, Mexico, is known for its arts and music festivals, which are celebrated throughout the year. Founded in 1733 with the establishment of the Mission of Santa Rosa de Todos Santos, the village is now a haven for foreign and local artists. A cultural center offers five different halls showcasing art, artifacts, and photographs from the 19th century, as well as a replica of a ranch house. The Hotel California (which shares a name with the Eagles' hit but reportedly did not provide the inspiration) welcomes guests to its on-site restaurant and adjacent Emporio Gallery & Store.
