This video reveals part of what I went through to survive colorectal cancer. In addition, there will be an average of 150,000 new cases of this type of cancer every year. This cancer can be deadly if people wait too long to be tested. Therefore, the video is an encouragement to get tested, especially men and women over 55. Ironically, a lady across the street from where I live also had the same cancer and we ended up having the same surgeon. Our treatments were handled differently, but we both had to endure the surgery, the colostomy bag, and the reversal surgeries to put our intestines together again. When we do see each other, we like to share stories about what we are experiencing during the recovery stage. The intestines have a mind of their own when it comes to when they work. Even so, the surgeries and the treatment options are better than just letting the cancer become deadly.
