My second oil painting I did so far, and I'm really excited that I finished it a few weeks ago. Its now back from the framer and it looks better than I remember it, and I remember every square centimeter when I painted it.
In this one I tried to maintain the same level of detail throughout the painting. I bought some artificial flowers simply because I'm too slow and have too little time per day to paint real ones.
I used a shadow box, to place the stillife and its lit from a single light source above. It will be the last time that I use this wooden shadow box, because I made it too small, and its not adjustable. I'm now using foam boards which I can easily cut and tape, and make it as big as I like.
