U.S President Barack Obama and his family traveled to Martha’s Vineyard, Mass., August 10, 2013 for a nine-day vacation to the historic and intimate island. Following on his heels was the ever-present White House Press Corps travel pool, which spent a majority of its time in a bus on the side of the road as the President golfed, ate out to dinner with his family and swam on the beach. The travel pool are the closest journalists in the world to the President’s daily activities; be it news or recreationally, the world has a desire to know what the most powerful man in the world is doing ever second of the day. For that reason, journalist are bound to his schedule no matter what it may be and become in essence prisoners of his vacations.
