Alas--footage from the first live performances of "i," staged at the CalArts Video Studio back in October 2012.

"i" has also been performed in classical musician Conrad Tao's UNPLAY Festival in June 2013 ( ), and earlier in 2013 the digital/video version was chosen as a regional finalist for the Student Academy Awards in the Alternative category.

The original video was finished in May 2012 at the end of my first year at CalArts, and was released online through the Cartoon Brew Student Animation Festival, here:

Thanks as always to my lovely choreographer, Yanina Orellana, who clearly dances much better than all of us; to technical director Evan Friedman for climbing dangerous ladders; and all those who stepped in front of the camera at the risk of ending up online. As they have. Oops.

And I thought I'd edit this to a different song than the original, for variety. But I just want to give a shout out to Kate Davis because she's awesome and her song "Who Am I" is perfect for the full, uncut version of this piece, so you should go check that out.

Things can still be magical.
