thanks for the advice. i've just looked up the price and it's cheaper than i feared. what are the extra features like? can you get 'the actors' to move about?

The premium account doesn't really let you move the characters around the set, although as you saw in the Antipodean movie you can get the actors to do some impressive disco routines. It does give you a lot more characters, sets and accents, though.

Another alternative is to download "State" from the xtranormal home page. This will only work with Windows, but it's free and I think it enables you to move the actors about. It also allows you to download high-quality copies at no charge. On the down side, the range of sets, actors and accents on State is extremely limited at the moment.

Finally, a reason for me to hang onto my dog of PC and resist for another couple of weeks the siren call of Macdom!
