Gilbert Laure is an artist in Nimbin.
In this video recorded in ABC Open's Age of Aquarius video booth Gilbert has an interesting take on the impact of the the hippies who came to live in his tribal country after the Aquarius Festival of May 1973.
This story was created during a special series of digital storytelling workshops called "The Age of Aquarius video-booth" where ABC Open and some local video-makers helped the Nimbin community record oral histories of the Aquarius Festival and its legacy.
Thanks to the Nimbin School of Arts for their generous support of the workshops.
