I developed a new educational paradigm (Reflective Asynchronous Learning Teachnologies in Medical Education - ReALTiME) to stream public health content to medical student's devices (tablets, laptops, smartphones) when they are engaged in their clinical rotations.
I developed, scripted, directed, researched and programmed in total ten packages:
- The Aboriginal Hospital Liaison Officer
- Aboriginal Narrative Medicine for Chronic Disease Management
- Continuity of Care
- Farmer Health
- A Healthy Start (children's public health)
- Healthy Ageing
- Domestic Violence
- Policy and Governance
- Men's Health.
This video is a simple, straight, screen capture of the interactive content of the ReALTiME package on Men's Health, filmed at the Torquay Men's Health Shed in Victoria (Australia). It is a series of staged interviews, interspersed with relevant URLs and literature.
At the end, students download a 'Prompts List' to help them trigger reflective learning and action in the clinical environment. They log these reflections through a wiki.
