Step up to the crease at Federation Square on Friday 23 August at 5.15pm to join Tim Ferguson and the COWZAT!
team for the launch of The Reading Hour – a national campaign spreading the simple message to achieve ‘the
perfect over’ all you need to do is “Share a book with your child 10 minutes a day, an hour a week, and give them
the gift of reading”.
Be ‘bowled over’ by stories, singing and giveaways including a FREE downloadable copy of COWZAT!, a zany
interactive tale which puts a new ‘spin’ on the history of cricket. There will also be a draw for a free family pass to
the Melbourne Writer’s Festival which includes entry to the National Reading Hour event with Andy Griffiths, book
packs and more!
The fun isn’t over ‘at stumps’ – you can enjoy your favourite book at home during The Reading Hour on Saturday 24
August between 5.00 and 6.00pm, or one of hundreds events happening at libraries around the country.
