Lauren Hamilton is a grad student in Applied Health Studies specializing in Kinesiology, her research investigates attention switching for balance recovery in younger and older adults. This research will benefit older adult populations that are susceptible to falls, especially individuals who possess lower balance confidence. The purpose of her research distinguishes whether auditory cues can help older adults better prepare for and respond to a loss of balance including the task of attention switching between two concurrent tasks.
