I wanted to check my 2 current cameras to see if they could cut together with footage shot in low light. I found out that the low light performance of the 7D was much better overall. I know this isn't really a fair test, but it might help someone out if they are thinking about running these 2 cameras together on a shoot. The dishwasher footage is under fluorescent light, the toilet was tungsten.
Both cameras were on AWB and I used minimal color correction on the HG-10 footage as it came out too warm. The levels and saturation have not been altered. This was transcoded to prores 422 then exported h264 1280x720 for Vimeo in FCP 7.
Music is of course, Tchiakovsky's The Nutcracker.
