Kathy and I had some time to explore the Embera Indian Village. For some reason that day, I seemed most interested in all the dogs. Perhaps I missed our Bessie Mae. Watch as Kathy and I get Embera Indian "tattoos" made from the juice of the jagua fruit. These tattoos only last about 10 to 12 days and are supposed to provide protection from mosquitos and other evil spirits. Kathy later fussed at me (not too harshly) for not filming her while she received the tattoo, but when I was going through the footage, I found that I had unknowingly left the camera on. So you can see her get her tattoo, albeit at a very unusual angle.
