Two Dassault Flamant (Flamingo) twin piston engine aircraft perform together for the first time in the UK at Eastbourne on the south coast of England. These historic aircraft are operated by Amicale des Avions Anciens d’Albert who provided a splendid show.
The lead aircraft with the yellow markings is a Dassault MD 312 Flamant six seat transport and communications aircraft. The glass nosed Dassault MD 311 Flamant is a former Armée de l'Air bombing and navigation training aircraft.
I had the pleasure of meeting the team at Shoreham Airport where they were based for the duration of the four day Eastbourne Air Show. You could not wish to meet a friendlier and more dedicated group of people.
